The FIU baseball team is in Rocky Top this evening for a mid-week game against Tennessee at 7 p.m. The Panthers then travel to WKU for a three-game weekend series beginning Friday.
Tip of the cap to the Volunteers for their coverage of tonight's game. It's very FIU-like. As you know for FIU home games we provide you with LIVE VIDEO/AUDIO on the Panther Pass broadcasts with Chad Robinson and myself calling the action, plus we have a LIVE GAME BLOG and Twitter: @FIUBaseball.
Tennessee does the same. Check out all the ways you can follow tonight's game by CLICKING HERE. Tennessee has a LIVE GAME BLOG, LIVE VIDEO/AUDIO and Twitter, but for FIU Twitter updates you are better off following: @FIUBaseball.
In the comments section of previous blogs, some of you good people have engaged in a very spirited debate regarding the Panthers' 8-10 start to the season. I think it's too early in the season to get a true gauge on this team. After the ULM series on April 2, FIU will have reached the midway point of the season. I'll have a comparison then between this season and 2011. Yes, the Panthers have to improve with the gloves to have a successful season. But FIU also needs to get healthy and have everyone back in the lineup.
