Former FIU football players Greg Ellingson, Joe Alajajian, Brad Serini and Chandler Williams will all be playing in the same game Friday on NFL Network's Arena Football League Game of the Week when the Tampa Bay Storm take on the New Orleans VooDoo. Kickoff is at 8 p.m.
Ellingson (left, catching TD reception) and Alajajian, both with the VooDoo, play Serini and Williams, both with the Storm. Ellingson leads the VooDoo with 23 catches, 323 yards and six touchdowns. Williams is second on the Storm with 25 receptions, 268 yards and four touchdowns.
Ellingson (2007-10), Alajajian (2006-09) and Serini (2007-10) all played together at FIU. Williams (2003-06) played with Alajajian during his senior season.
BASEBALL IN THE TROPHY CASE
Congratulations to FIU junior catcher Ryne Morozowski, who got his first career hit and RBI last night against Florida A&M. Morozowski singled to right to score Jabari Henry with the 13th FIU run in the 13-0 Panthers win.
Not only can Morozowski (right) hit, but he can dance too as this traditional postgame victory dance with Mason McVay and R.J. Fondon shows. Thanks to Miri for the video.
