FIU left fielder Jabari Henry was named Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week after a monster week at the plate. This is Henry's second Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week honor. The junior won one in 2010 after hitting five home runs in a week. Henry was also named the Sun Belt Player of the Week.
Against Florida A&M and Troy, Henry was 9 for 20 (.450) with 4 home runs, 13 RBI and 7 runs scored. In his last 10 games, Henry is hitting .462 with 6 home runs and 23 RBI. Henry should pick up the Sun Belt Player of the Week award later today.
