On the Sun Belt coaches conference call this morning, FIU coach Mario Cristobal said quarterback Jake Medlock practiced Sunday without any issues. Medlock, who left last Saturday's game against WKU after the second to last play of the game with a hand and left shoulder issue, is expected to play at South Alabama on Saturday. The Panthers were off from practice Monday, but resume preparations for the Jaguars Tuesday morning.
HICKMAN HONORED
Greg Hickman earned national honorable mention honors for defensive linemen from College Football Performance Awards.
Hickman had career-highs of eight tackles, two sacks, three tackles for loss, a forced fumble, a pass break-up and a quarterback hurry against WKU.
Hickman is the FIU record holder in career quarterback hurries with 10 and is now tied for fourth all-time with four forced fumbles.
