FIU senior offensive lineman Caylin Hauptmann accepted an invitation to participate in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl, a college all-star game featuring top draft-eligible seniors. ESPN2 will broadcast the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl live on Jan. 19 at 6 p.m. (EST) from The Home Depot Center on the campus of California State University Dominguez Hills in Carson, Calif.
Hauptmann is the second Panther this offseason to earn a senior collegiate all-star game invitation, as safety Johnathan Cyprien will compete in the Senior Bowl from Mobile, Ala., on Jan. 26.
Hauptmann earned All-Sun Belt Conference second-team honors this past season and finished his three-year FIU career starting every game played for the Panthers (37 total games).
FIU VS. BETHUNE-COOKMAN AFTERNOON BASKETBALL
The Panthers basketball team takes on Bethune-Cookman this afternoon in a 1 p.m. matinee at the FIU arena. The reason for the start time is due to the national championship game being played tonight about 30 minutes from FIU.
If you can't sneak out of work to make the game, then you can watch and listen to the game live and for FREE on PantherVision at FIUSports.com with myself and Jared Schwartz calling the game. CLICK HERE to watch the game.
