Former FIU catcher and the Panthers new graduate assistant coach Ryne Morozowski has been busy this off-season sprucing up the interior of the FIU ballpark. Morozowski, who was an architect intern at Vandelay Industries under his former boss George Costanza, has been doing a terrific job making the interior of the FIU ballpark look more like a, well, ballpark. Ryne's girlfriend, an architect herself, approves of his work.
Here is some of what Ryne's done:
Ryne collected photos of all the past All-Americans in FIU baseball history and framed them atop the press box. Still to be added to the wall of FIU All-Americans are Tyler Townsend, Garrett Wittels, Jabari Henry and Mike Martinez. Henry and Martinez were Freshmen All-Americans.
And here's a photo of FIU's most famous baseball All-American, Mike Lowell:
FIU's all-time hits leader Mike Martinez recently had his jersey framed and it is hanging on the suite wall across from Wittels's jersey.
On Wednesday morning, the FIU logo was added to the window on the facade of the stadium and FIU in block letters will be painted above it later this week. Also on the facade wall inside the ballpark will read PANTHERS in block letters.
