FIU takes on Maryland for the fifth time in program history on Friday night. The Terrapins have taken the first four meetings with the closest game occurring in the first game back in 2006. Ten years ago in College Park, MD, the Terps escaped with the four-point win after picking off Josh Padrick at the Maryland 2 on the final play of the game.
This will be Maryland's second trip to Miami to play FIU. The previous time Maryland played FIU in Miami was in 2007 in the Orange Bowl -- FIU's home stadium that season when FIU Stadium was being renovated. The Terps won 26-10.
FIU seeks a different result Friday as it looks to even its record on the season. Here to tell us more about the Maryland Terrapins is Zack Kiesel, the senior Terrapins analyst on Baltimore Sports and Life. You can follow Zack on Twitter: @BSLZackKiesel.
